Creative Minds Unite: Inside Salford's Creative lab and our new Creative “Homework” Club.

Creative Homework Club at Creative Lab. Far from your typical and using the word ‘homework’ loosely, our club encourages individuals of all ages and creative abilities to come along and use the workshop space to develop their creative projects or ideas, to connect with other creatives, to get feedback and to thrive; It's a sanctuary where every individuals are encouraged to explore, play, and engage in a creative adventure.

At the helm of this vibrant space is artist and educator Venessa Scott, also know as Vee, a whirlwind of energy with a background in both education, visual art and design. Her passion for teaching is matched only by her love for creativity.

Our Creative Homework club opens its doors every other Thursday 16:30 and wraps up at around 18:00. Individuals from age 9 to 99 are encouraged to bring along a creative project that they are working on, their box of preferred art materials and get to work on their project in a welcoming and well equipped environment, receiving positive reinforcement and formative feedback along the way.

What truly sets our creative homework club apart is its sense of community. Creative Lab is a place where friendships blossom and where individuals can feel a sense of belonging.

In a world where education can sometimes feel rigid and uninspiring, and art spaces can feel elitist and uninviting, the Creative Homework Club at Creative Lab Salford aims to stand out as a beacon of connection and joy. To be a place where creative development is an adventure and where creative self-expression is celebrated.
